Cabo San Lucas

Cabo is a city in the southern tip of Mexico, known for its beaches, outdoor activities, and nightlife. A sea off of the coast, the sea of Cortez, is nicknamed the Aquarium of the World. It does not get too hot in the summer, with an average temperature of 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Cabo San Lucas translates to st. Joseph of the cape. They are most known for the arch in the middle of the ocean. On a boat ride out to the arch you can visit lovers beach, the arch, and the window to the pacific.

Cabo was a great place to visit because there is always something to do. Whether it be laying at the pool, soaking up the sun on the beach, or going on excursions. My family is very active and loves having various things to do each day. Cabo is known for great tourism so it is very easy to find your way around the city. If you struggle with Spanish or have never learned you can easily find someone who speaks good English to get directions from.

When arriving at our hotel the first day I was amazed by the beautiful color of the resort and the extravagant layout of the outdoor pool and assorted palm trees. My family and I stayed in hotel casa rosa, a large resort with direct access to the beach. Their neighboring resort, Hotel casa blanca was known as another great stay for tourists. The hotel casa rosa is a light pink large resort with large pools water falling into one another on the right side. The back of the resort has a walkway to the beach where you have full access to water activities and life on the beach.

My family participated in many fun water activities including snorkeling, jet skiing, and a boat ride to the arch. Snorkeling in Cabo was my absolute favorite place to explore the underwater wildlife. There were numerous vibrant fish and bright coral to observe for hours in the day. Of course, jet skiing was also one of my favorite activities, there you were able to explore parts of the ocean that would be too deep to explore just by swimming. On the last full day, my family visited the arch. We piled into a clear bottomed boat so we can see what was in the water as we were traveling. The arch was so beautiful and impressive to see up close. While exploring the area the guides allowed tourists to go onto the shore and explore the area around the island. The last thing my family did before leaving at the end of the week was a short hike to see an amazing view of the whole city. There we were able to soak up the view and beauty of the city for the last time.
