Catch a Flight to Costa Rica

My first big trip out of the country was to Costa Rica, a beautiful country in Central America. They are known for their national parks, water activities, zip lining, and so much more! With countless varieties of excursions there is something for everyone.

After the flight landed my family and I spent our first day in Costa Rica on a gorgeous black sand beach. There we kayaked, searched for sea shells, tried new and delicious food at local restaurants, swam in the pool at the hotel, and enjoyed the great weather surrounding us.

The second day of our trip consisted of hiking in the rain forest, we saw numerous new creatures and even hot springs. Next we stopped to eat our packed lunches before heading back to the parking lot in order to make the drive to the next resort where we would spend the rest of the trip at. On the way we spotted huge iguanas and quickly stop to take pictures and observe the interesting creatures.

My all time favorite part of the trip was the full day excursion. The day started off with tubing in the rapids where we everyone was packed into a school bus with swimsuits, life jackets, and tubes before we getting to the landing doc. Once the tubing fun was over we all ate lunch and laughed over the embarrassing pictures that were taken. We quickly packed up and made it to the next location of fun. We were going zip lining! The whole crew made it through the trees and canyons while relying on just the rope to keep us from falling. Zip lining ended with a Tarzan rope swing over the water between the canyons and a final rock climb to make it to the last part of the excursion. The final and most relaxing part of the day was the mud baths in natural hot tubs. We lathered the dark mud onto our bodies before taking a dip into the tub.

My family spent our last day in Costa Rica learning how to surf. We all enjoyed the experience of learning a new and challenging activity before we left. It was an amazing end to an exciting trip! I encourage everyone to book a flight to Costa Rica and enjoy all the great experiences that come with it!

This sounds really cool! When I went to Guatemala, we also went to a black sand beach which was really cool. Hiking in the rainforest seems so fun and exciting! It sounds like it was beautiful. I have to say I am so jealous of the mud baths. That sounds amazing! Overall, Costa Rica sounds like a really fun place to visit and explore and I will add it to the bucket list!
